Water, Border Crossings, and a Unique Challenge

Green Zone Golf, established in the late 1980s in the border region between Finland and Sweden, offers a truly one-of-a-kind golfing experience. Our course features 7 holes on the Finnish side and 11 on the Swedish side. Globally, there are only four golf courses where play crosses the border between two countries, and we are proud to be one of them. The ability to play golf around the clock during summer makes Green Zone Golf one of the most unique golf courses in the world—perhaps even the most unique.

During a full round, players cross the border a total of four times. The most famous crossing is at hole number six, where you can attempt the "world’s longest hole-in-one", thanks to the time zone difference, the ball spends over an hour in the air!

The course presents plenty of challenges, and keeping your ball on the fairway is highly recommended. In fact, it’s possible to lose your ball in the water on nearly every hole. The course measures 5,835 meters from the yellow tees and 4,993 meters from the red tees.

Below, you’ll find detailed hole maps and introduction videos for each hole, including their distances.
